2024 Postgraduate Diploma Digital Design
I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Design at Media Design School in Auckland in 2024. During my studies, I extensively utilized AI to create videos and 3d models, exploring the integration of emerging technologies in creative practice and visual storytelling.

The Future Treehouse project envisions a revolutionary, self-sustaining living environment designed to combat climate change by seamlessly integrating biotechnology and architecture. Inspired by Biophilic Design and Speculative Futures, these futuristic homes are built around genetically modified Energy Trees that generate solar power, absorb and filter water, and produce nutrient-rich food. Functioning as interconnected ecosystems, the treehouses foster a sustainable, zero-waste community that restores ecological balance while providing a modern, comfortable lifestyle. By redefining the concept of "home," this project challenges traditional urban development, offering a vision of harmony between humanity and nature in the year 2123.

About Me
My name is Yi Xin, and I started enjoying video games very early on in my life. Raising up in a single-parent family since I was 2 years old, the chunky computer at home became my companion. After I migrated to New Zealand with my father in year 9, I was not feeling prepared to start a new life in a completely different environment. I did not enjoy going to school until I met a group of new friends, and we sank hours into League of Legends together. Eventually, we represented our high school in the NZ high school league competitions. During this adventure, I became more confident in myself, not only in games, and this encouraged me to pursue a career in game design as I want to share the happiness and joy of games with others.
From my personal perspective, the development of the game industry is not only a reflection of technological innovation but also the rise of culture and art. Over time, games have evolved from a simple form of entertainment into a multi-dimensional experience, profoundly affecting our daily lives. Looking back at the history of the gaming industry, I am deeply impressed by the important role it plays in creating and shaping global culture. I think the impact of games on society cannot be ignored. It not only provides us with entertainment but also becomes a cross-cultural communication tool. Games are not only interactions between players but also an expression of cultural exchange and resonance. In this digital age, games are increasingly becoming a link between people, transcending national boundaries and cultural limitations. I am interested in the game companies which continue to innovate and expand its limits in the fields of art, culture and technology. My goal is to contribute to the blooming growth of the game industry and promote games to become a more trend-setting cultural phenomenon while learning new skills in the journey.
